Code of Conduct
The DeCharge network is built not just on technology, but on trust. As a decentralized, community-powered infrastructure initiative, our collective success depends on how we treat one another. This Code of Conduct outlines the principles that govern participation across all DeCharge spaces - online and offline.
This applies to everyone: hosts, investors, contributors, partners, operators, moderators, and team members.
Core Principles
Respect and Inclusivity
Treat every individual with dignity, regardless of background, geography, technical skill, or experience.
Discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected class will not be tolerated.
Constructive Collaboration
Engage in productive, solution-oriented discussions.
Critique ideas, not individuals. Debate respectfully and back opinions with reasoning or data.
Welcome feedback, especially from new users or regions with different deployment contexts.
Zero Tolerance for Abuse
No personal threats, insults, trolling, spamming, or doxing.
No impersonation of DeCharge team members or community leaders.
No malicious misinformation or attempts to mislead stakeholders.
Transparency and Integrity
Be honest about your role, your intent, and your affiliations when participating in community channels.
Disclose any conflicts of interest when providing advice or representing DeCharge externally.
Do not misrepresent DeCharge in promotional materials, social media, or funding campaigns.
Protect the Ecosystem
Report bugs, exploits, or performance failures responsibly.
Do not attempt to manipulate the reward system, fake uptime metrics, or spoof telemetry.
Do not use DeCharge platforms to solicit unrelated services, schemes, or financial products.
Global Accessibility
Recognize the global nature of the DeCharge community.
Use English in global channels unless otherwise specified.
Provide context when discussing location-specific issues or regulations.
Enforcement
The DeCharge team, along with appointed moderators, will enforce this code consistently across all platforms. Actions may include:
Warning or temporary mute
Content deletion
Removal from Telegram, Discord, or support forums
Revocation of contributor privileges
Suspension from reward eligibility or device management rights (in extreme cases)
Repeat offenses or serious violations may lead to permanent bans and notification to relevant ecosystem partners.
Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, you can report it through the following channels:
Email: [email protected]
All reports will be handled confidentially and with urgency.
Final Word
DeCharge is a movement. It only works when people work together, across time zones, belief systems, income levels, and energy realities. The Code of Conduct is not a formality. It is a foundational layer of our protocol, just like telemetry or smart metering.
